Andrew Bertram is a highly accomplished Physiotherapy practitioner who has dedicated the last   30 years of his career to helping patients overcome pain and injury and find their path to   recovery.  With an educational background that includes both a Bachelor’s degree in   Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 1993 and a Graduate Certificate in   Occupational Health & Safety from Latrobe University in 2002, he has been standing at the helm   of his own practice -   Bertram Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre for the last 18 years - as its   Founder, Director, Educator and Principal Therapist.

 

 With a wealth of knowledge and experience under his belt working within multiple health settings   across Australia and the US, Andrew has focused heavily on innovative evidence based   musculoskeletal  techniques, Manual Therapies - Joint and soft tissue mobilization, dry needling,   and individual tailored exercise prescription ensuring optimal outcomes are achieved.

 

He works with clients from all walks of life – from elite athletes to those suffering from chronic pain conditions such as osteoarthritis, to complex spinal pain to amputees to helping men recover from Prostatectomy and everything in between.  Andrew helps his clients gain control over their lives again by getting them back on track physically, mentally and emotionally. He believes that everyone should have access to quality healthcare services regardless of age or physical condition and strives to empower people through education so they can take charge of their own health. His unwavering dedication to helping others find their way back to health and happiness has earned him a reputation as one of the kindest and most respected practitioners in his industry. CINDY XU - PHYSIOTHERAPIST

 

Since joining the Bertram Physiotherapy team in early 2023, Cindy has become an invaluable member of our practice. With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland, Cindy brings a blend of contemporary physiotherapy techniques and a strong passion for sports and rehabilitation.

 

Cindy’s expertise extends beyond traditional physiotherapy, particularly in the realm of sports injuries. Her deep understanding of athletic rehabilitation is informed not only by her academic background but also her personal experience. A dedicated player in the women’s Australian Rules Football competition, Cindy has firsthand knowledge of the physical demands placed on athletes, making her uniquely equipped to address sports and dance-related injuries with insight and empathy.

 

In addition to her sports focus, Cindy is skilled in dry needling and has experience managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, women's health and chronic pain. Her enthusiasm for health and fitness is evident in her approach to patient care, always aiming to educate and empower clients about their injuries and treatment options. Cindy believes in an active, collaborative recovery process, where patients take ownership of their healing journey.

 

Her warm, approachable nature and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for her patients have made Cindy a trusted and popular member of our team. SAM STIELER - PHYSIOTHERAPIST

 

Sam graduated from the Australian Catholic University in 2020. After completing his studies, he spent four years in Tasmania working in private practice treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, while pursuing his passion for hiking, mountain biking, and running. He has also played and worked as a physiotherapist in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) for soccer.

 

In addition to his sports experience, Sam has undertaken specialized training in vestibular (vertigo and dizziness) conditions, strength and conditioning, and sports physiotherapy (Level 1).

 

Sam is particularly passionate about treating dizziness and balance disorders, as well as sports injuries affecting the ankles, knees, hips, and shoulders. He utilizes an exercise-based approach to treatment, emphasizing the importance of strength and flexibility to improve both performance and overall well-being.

 

 

JORDAN PEZZIMENTTI - PHSYIOTHERAPIST

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since 2018 Jordan has been an Integral part of the Bertram Physiotherapy clinical team. Jordan graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1st Class Honors) from the University of Queensland. In conjunction with his clinical work, Jordan has spent a decade teaching at the University of Queensland to various future health professionals including physiotherapy, medical, occupational therapy, biomedical science, health science, and exercise science students. Recently Jordan has started a lecturing role with the University of Southern Queensland.

 

Jordan has an interest in treating anything from sports-related injuries, spinal pain, post-op and orthopedic management, rehabilitation of all sorts along with a developing interest in neurological and vestibular physiotherapy. Jordan has been fortunate enough to have some excellent exposure to high level sports and coaching as a young athlete and uses this background to his advantage transferring what he has learned to different populations, conditions and goals. Improving client function and quality of life drives are big drivers for Jordan. He is always up for a challenge and is always adding a positive energy in the clinic.

 

Outside of work, Jordan is a keen gardener (don't get him started), enjoys travelling and all things outdoors, has a great passion for playing guitar and seeing live music on the regular.

 

 

ALEXANDER PARKER - PHYSIOTHERAPIST


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alex is a highly accomplished physiotherapist, having graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1st class Honors) from the Australian Catholic University in 2017. With a background in soccer, Alex possesses a keen interest in sport-specific injuries, which prompted the completion of his honors theses on "Injury Surveillance in Australian Community Level Netball". 

 

Alex thrives in treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions, from lower back pain and shoulder injuries to sport-related ailments and lower limb conditions. Moreover, Alex's passion for chronic pain management sets him apart. 

 

Throughout his university placements, Alex gained valuable experience in cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, neuro, and orthopaedic settings, further enhancing his expertise. 

But what truly sets Alex apart is his friendly and empathetic nature. He is genuinely passionate about assisting clients in achieving their individualized goals. Alex is dedicated to providing exceptional care and ensuring the well-being of every patient he treats.

 

 

 

ALEXANDRA PICORELLI - PHYSIOTHERAPIST 

 

Alexandra is a highly skilled and dedicated professional from Brazil, bringing a wealth of expertise to our clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honors) from Brazil and is a fully registered Physiotherapist in Australia. In addition, Alexandra has earned a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy from the Australian College of Eastern Medicine and is a certified Pilates Instructor.

 

Specializing in chronic pain management, disability, and aged care rehabilitation, Alexandra is deeply committed to supporting our patients throughout their recovery process and promoting overall wellness. Her diverse skill set, combined with a compassionate approach, makes her an indispensable member of our team.

 

 

 

STEVE ROYLE - EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

 

Steve has worked in Ipswich over the past 10+ years as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) helping to inspire, engage and empower people in our local community to manage and prevent chronic health conditions, disabilities and injuries so that they can live healthier, happier, more independent lives. 

 

Although he has developed keen interests in Type 2 Diabetes prevention and management, falls prevention and management and musculoskeletal condition and injury management (e.g. arthritis, osteoporosis, tendinopathies, etc.), Steve is a very knowledgeable practitioner with plenty of experience and success working with people that have a wide variety of chronic health conditions, disabilities and injuries.   

 

To help his clients achieve success, Steve aims to collaborate with them to keep plans as simple and easy to understand and follow, foster clear and open communication channels with clients (acknowledging this is a two-way street), focusing on the big picture as well as the individual steps required to achieve success which may require making adjustments as needed to the plan along the journey. 

 

Outside of work Steve enjoys spending time with his family, overwatering his veggie garden, camping and donating copious amounts of fishing lures to our local water ways.

 

 

 

NED CATTIVERIA - REMEDIAL MASSAGE

 

 

Ned is an experienced and highly qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with six years of practice. A proud Ipswich local, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), following his studies in Exercise Science at the University of Queensland (UQ).

 

With a background in sports therapy, Ned has gained valuable experience as a sports trainer for the Rochedale Rovers Women's team. He has a particular interest in the treatment and management of back and shoulder pain, and is dedicated to providing effective therapeutic care to support his patients' recovery and well-being.
